Parking The multi-storey is operated by City Parking LLP. A map and directions are here. Onsite pay machines are on the ground floor, or level 2 (walkway level) of the car park. Payment can be made by cash or credit/debit card on arrival or before departure. Tariff Rates in the multi-storey Monday to Sunday are: 0-1 hour £5.50 1-12 hours £11 12-13 hours £16 13-24 Hours £22 Further information is available from the operator’s website. The multi-storey has a height restriction of 2m. Drivers with vehicles over 2m should report to the Gatehouse to the west of the campus (accessed via Stobcross Road) in the first instance and you will be directed to an available space.

The venue is easily accessible for visitors with mobility difficulties and accessibility needs and currently holds a Gold Award from ‘Attitude is Everything’. The SEC Centre has automatic doors at both East and West entrances. Every hall in the SEC Centre is at ground level, therefore, making every event easily accessible for wheelchair users. General Rule The following policies apply to most events, but each event may differ, so please check the venue website event page for specific event policies. For full details of all venue policies see the venue website FAQs page. Searching and security All bags and visitors may be searched when entering the venue. Bags larger than A3 size (30cm x 42cm) may not be permitted at certain events. Exit and Re-Entry You may leave and re-enter the venue during the event, as long as you present your ticket for scanning each time. Cameras In general audio and video recording equipment and professional cameras (SLR types and those with detachable lenses) are not permitted into events. However, small non-professional cameras and phone cameras may be permitted, unless otherwise specified by the event organiser. Special Effects Special effects are used at many events and are controlled by the touring production team. If the use of certain effects concern you, or you would like further information on effects that may be used at a specific show, please email the venue. Assistance Dogs The SEC welcomes visitors with assistance dogs. We would ask that assistance dogs are clearly identifiable around the campus.
Child Rule All children must have a valid ticket for an event, with the exception of ‘babes in arms’ (under 12 months) who may sit on a parent/guardian’s knee, unless otherwise stated by the event promoter. All patrons over five years old are welcome to attend in the seated section, unless otherwise stated by the event organiser. It is the venue’s recommendation that children under five should not attend concerts or events, other than those specifically aimed at younger visitors, i.e. children’s shows.
